We have had lots of rain over the past week or so, turning the garden into a rather uninviting quagmire.

Last November for GBBD I was excited by the textures in the garden.

This year, because of the introduction of new grasses, my eye was caught by the variety of seed heads that I have -

Although maybe they stood out because I have so few flowers – no change from last year then.

Apart from a large pot of Marguerites – that seem to be doing astonishingly well, and of course the bedding geraniums are also doing well -

This is because I am waiting for both types of plants to be “over” so I can move them to the greenhouse and replant the large planters with tulips.
