<p style="text-align: center;">After yesterdays clear skies &#8211; this morning I was greeted by quite a hard ground frost, which transformed the garden from limp and damp into something magical and crisp.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/sedum.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-380 aligncenter" title="sedum" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/sedum.jpg" alt="" width="718" height="488" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I don&#8217;t know why, but I always feel that the soil benefits from a good freezing in the winter.  (Whether it actually does make a difference or not, I have no idea).</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/heuchara.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-383 aligncenter" title="heuchara" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/heuchara.jpg" alt="" width="718" height="488" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Also I do enjoy the seasons &#8211; for me the winter is a necessity, because then the spring, summer and autumn will follow.  I love how the year turns.  Although &#8211; if I am being honest &#8211; I wish the years would turn a little more slowly.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/rudbeckia.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-384 aligncenter" title="rudbeckia" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/rudbeckia.jpg" alt="" width="718" height="488" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Although it was cold &#8211; it was another glorious day</p>
