Over the past few weeks many people have had wonderful frosty pictures on their blogs.  Now while I am not saying I enjoy  the cold frosty mornings, there is something very “right” about them.

After yesterdays clear skies – this morning I was greeted by quite a hard ground frost, which transformed the garden from limp and damp into something magical and crisp.

I don’t know why, but I always feel that the soil benefits from a good freezing in the winter.  (Whether it actually does make a difference or not, I have no idea).

Also I do enjoy the seasons – for me the winter is a necessity, because then the spring, summer and autumn will follow.  I love how the year turns.  Although – if I am being honest – I wish the years would turn a little more slowly.

Although it was cold – it was another glorious day
