The end of June is a funny old time of year really – perhaps more so this year because we have had such a rubbish May and June – but the last week or so there has been some warmth in the air, and the garden responds. The wind has been dreadful – incessant for the past month – although to-day, as I write this, it has dropped and the stillness is wonderful. Wind is our worst enemy and it has done the garden no good at all, [...] April has been a totally bonkers month …. my brown arms would indicate that it is June, Shedman has small courgettes in the veg garden and some of the dahlias would like to flower.
