<p style="text-align: center;">It&#8217;s December all-ready! &#8211; and here I am still vaguely waiting for the summer that never was</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">When I agreed to join in the &#8220;<a href="http://patientgardener.wordpress.com/2009/11/30/end-of-month-view-november-09/" target="_blank">End of the Month Views</a>&#8221; with Helen / Patient Gardener,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I forgot about November.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">One reason why I am late this month is that the garden looks like it has been a play ground for swamp monsters.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">It is horrid out there.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And I could hardly bring myself to take a photograph</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">But I did</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/november-garden-view.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-1476 aligncenter" title="november-garden-view" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/november-garden-view.jpg" alt="november-garden-view" width="539" height="366" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>Well you didn&#8217;t think I would put a full sized picture up did you?</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Partly this is due to the tedious amount of rain and wind we have had.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And partly it is because of the state of the garden,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Currently I have quite a few hardy herbaceous perennials and grasses</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So the structure that shrubs can give to a garden is lacking at the moment.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I do have some shrubs &#8211; but they are so small that you cannot see them.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">However;-</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">One of the things that Shedman and I did do this month was make some &#8220;Garden Art&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Those of you that follow my blog regularly will be aware perhaps of the ongoing <a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/2009/04/07/oopps/" target="_blank">saga of the camellia</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I felt somehow that something of the shrub should remain in the garden &#8211; it had probably been here for so many years.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I kind of felt that I should acknowledge it in some way.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">When we finally dug it up and replaced it with a pond, I did not get rid of the trunk.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">All credit to Shedman, when I dragged the trunk of the camellia back into the garden and asked him to &#8220;plant&#8221; it again</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">He totally got what I was trying to do.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">We had a rather lovely outdoor pot that lived by the studio which we both thought could look quite good placed between the branches of the camellia.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/pot3.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1477" title="pot3" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/pot3.jpg" alt="pot3" width="610" height="898" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So Shedman shaped the branches so that the pot would sit safely in between them.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And, fingers crossed it has stayed there despite all the winds that have buffeted the garden this month.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So I am hopeful that this &#8220;sculpture&#8221; will add some interest to the winter garden</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And in the summer, well I see a small clematis twirling its way up and around.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/sculpture.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1479" title="sculpture" src="http://www.artistsgarden.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/sculpture.jpg" alt="sculpture" width="610" height="898" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I think once the area around it has been planted up it will be OK.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">On another note &#8211; I don&#8217;t often look at things like blog stats and search engines &#8211; but some one this week arrived at my blog looking for</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;A garden of dead flowers&#8221;</p>
