The End of the Month – and to-day was fabulous, even if the garden is not looking quite so fabulous! The frogs are doing whatever it is that frogs do at the bottom of the ponds – there are so many, I don’t know where they all come from. Big [...] January is the time when I go through a lot of paper work and pull all my gardening receipts together. When they are all in one big pile, there is no getting away from the fact that however economical I try to be – all these little garden purchases add up to a [...] As I sit here and look out over the February garden, withs its empty borders I wonder what on earth induced me to open my garden under the NGS scheme this year. You heard right, when the “yellow book” comes out – you will find “An Artist’s Garden tucked in there somewhere. This year – more so than ever I am going to have to sow a lot of seeds as I have two completely empty flower borders to fill!
