Living where I do – I think I have mentioned before that my garden has its own lovely little micro-climate.
It can snow in 10 miles up the coast – or 10 miles down the coast …
But here in an Artist’s Garden – no snow.
It comes as a surprise when I go out for a walk and see the mountains covered with snow.

You should have been at my place on Friday morning. I woke up to a white out that happened in the space of 30 mins! (My neighbour timed it). And I am only 10 miles as the crow flies. I can confirm that it was much warmer in your micro climate today than mine and your garden is more advanced. Oh well, maybe mine will last longer:-)
What a lovely walk~The stone walls are spectacular and make for great lines in the snow. We have a warmer micro-climate, too Karen…Most winters that late frost spares some of my early bloomers…We haven’t any early blooms this year! gail

And very, very beautiful they are too! They tug at something inside which I can feel physically.

Where I live on the side of the Malvern Hills we are above the snowline. So again this morning I removed an inch of snow from the car and drove to work, wearing my big snow boots only to look a complete idiot when I got to Worcester where there was no snow!!!

We know that the weather has to stop somewhere, but it still comes as a shock when it does!

This sort of picture reminds me that I don’t really live in the country-proper – and that sometimes I wish I did (provided there’s still a Waitrose of course…)

I popped down to Aber and drove through loads of beautiful Mountains covered in snow. Enjoyed the walk, see you next week.
Well Dawn, no waitrose, sainsburys, marks and spencer or Tesco’s The only shop near us is the Co-Op lucky it sells most things.
What a beautifully scenic photo. The sturdy stone fences add to your picturesque scene. Are the areas beyond the fences rocky?

It is an impressive view. We had snow today but luckily it did not last long. Honestly I’m getting more and more irritated – I want one week of proper gardening weather. Is it too much to ask!

We are above the snow line here. Mostly I like it but perhaps not just now.

What a beautiful landscape Karen! I have just the opposite weather pattern from the valley and town below. I particularly love it in the summer, when it is always cooler here.
