Eeeek!
No, I am not referring to the Dahlia,
Which is outrageously O.T.T.
But the fact that I have managed to fill my 250 GB hard drive with pictures of flowers.
I need to do some serious editing / moving to an external hard drive
Before I can download the images from the camera for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day,
So I will be posting (hopefully) tomorrow
(Sigh, I don’t understand it, I am sure that I don’t take that many pictures!)

Ha, ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! OK, sorry for laughing, it’s just that I am in exactly the same boat, except that we ALREADY got the external HD and now I think I have filled that up too, or almost. No GBBD post for me this month either, as a result, the computer is just too slow to make it anything other than maddening. Does that stop me from taking more photos of plants? Of course not! Ha ha ha ha ha ha… (madwoman laughter trailing off here).

It is so easy to do! I bought a 32 GB flash drive to store my photos but haven’t move them yet! gail

Uh-oh, something I haven’t really thought about. I guess I’d better start making some plans.

I’m actually considering using a simple database to organize everything. Right now, search using intuition and luck, and that means I don’t always find what I’m looking for… Just a thought, since you’re upgrading anyway.

I hear you, dear Karen! I’m in a mess also … have a Maxtor external HD but to tweak stuff over from my crampted computer … well, I’m pulling my hair out tonight before regrouping life here and heading back to the lake tomorrow! Lovely Dahlia

My son-in-law has discovered “The Problem of the Slow Computer” is that I’ve stored so many photos. Hmmm. I didn’t think there were That Many. So, he’s contemplating helping me purchase an external drive. Yes, I need the help!
It’s a sad situation, but I guess it’s nice to know I have excellent company! lol.

I dont think I am near capacity yet but I do delete rubbish photos when I upload them so maybe that helps. Have fun sorting.

Do you remember when a 50GB drive was thought to be huge? Digital photos may be “virtual” but they sure take up a lot of space.

you are not alone, I had to move loads of folders to my secondary hard drive last month! We can’t help it if we’re fab photographers and see beauty everywhere. Silly computers putting restrictions on us.

OK, I won’t get upset next time I bring my camera and lead over and find that you no longer have a file of my garden etc on you computer! You could try to edit some of the photo’s that didn’t work, but I really do not envy you. I know how hard you will find it to get rid of even a few. A huge new external hard drive is the obvious answer.
Hmm a timely reminder to sort mine out something I am waiting for a rainy day for. Love the Dahlia photo.
