Spent the day taking photographs, all of which were rubbish – and then the sun set!

amazing!
I love these photos Karen, they have the feel of Japanese woodcuts.
I knew there was a reason we didn’t chop the willow down!!
Beautiful – and so soothing. What a lovely sky colour!
Great Karen, I wonder how you would/could describe that sky in words. the first picture almost looks Oriental, very pretty./ Tyra
This is so beautiful! I’ve never seen the sky that hue before, I don’t think. Magical photos.

Red sky at night…sailors delight…A lovely sunset!
Beautiful!
I think it works like that a lot – if I put a lot of effort in, particularily if I am expecting something brilliant, it ends in nada. Then, when I relax and just take things as they come, it just happens. Lovely, deep colours you captured, and that curtain of branches… Simple and full of effect.
Lucky you. Fabulous colour
Cheers
Simply magical!
The sunset made your shots magical!
I’m starting up a new meme for Fridays – Blooming Friday – it would be great if you would like to participate with one or two pictures of blooming plants. I thought it would be nice to share eye-candy for the week-end… Welcome!

Hi Karen – so we were both photographing the sunset last night! Wasn’t it fabulous?
However, I had minor things like buildings that kept on getting in the way – oh for a willow tree instead!
wow! just beautiful.
Just gorgeous Karen! I’m fixing up my blogroll, so your link has been updated
I always see views like this when I am driving home and I dont have my camera with me!!
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments – they are cherished.
The sunset was indeed amazing – and it is one of the advantages of living on the west coast in the UK the sun just sinks into the sea – although these shots are from the garden because it was the amazing colour of the sky that I wanted. I have never seen one quite like it.

Like a silkscreen! Beautiful!
Breathtaking sunset shots Karen! I love the shadow of the branches against that orange sky.
Karen, you truly did not need words for this post. Beautiful rendering of a sunset. I remember how happy I was to see a clear sunset in England. You value it all the more.
Jenna did tell me the sky was wonderful, Im sorry now I didnt rush to the window, instead of saying is it. It seemed a long way to the window at the time. Still the picture is Wonderful.
It’s amazing how a little lighting change can make or break a photo! Those are gorgeous, Kim
